I definately would take it over the Lowes / HD choices. Sears use to carry them. Alside started as a siding company and I think went into window manufacturing to get that business from Sears as well. They use the PPG Intercept spacer which is way important. Also use constant force balancers and I think the warranty specifies seal failure. All good stuff...

You asked about sound. If at all possible you should have the windows installed by filling the dead air space with window foam for added storm security, better thermal protection and additional sound deadening. It is time consuming and can be messy if not very careful, but well worth it...
