Running Back
6’3″ 231 lbs
Jacques Patrick has the unenviable task of replacing Dalvin Cook as the starting running back at Florida State. Most likely, though, that job will be shared by several. Patrick will be the first man up, though, and deservedly so. The former 5* running back out of Orlando has two 100 yard rushing performances, one coming in the only start of his career in 2015. He’s slimmed down some and is reportedly running with more purpose using his big body to his advantage. His ability to provide a strong, tough running back will be instrumental in providing the Noles with a balanced attack in 2017.

Defensive End
6’5″ 250 lbs
Josh Sweat has had two solid years to start his time in Tallahassee. Bringing effort and intensity on every down will help to catapult him from solid to exceptional and that where Florida State needs him to be and his talent dictates he should be. Sweat has played in 25 games thus far and logged 82 tackles over two seasons. The former 5* and #1 ranked player at his position out of high school has all the tools to escalate his game to another level that will help the 2017 defense become one of the more dominant in college football.
