Baveon Johnson was a 4* and the top ranked Center out of high school in 2016. Last season he redshirted, but the coaches are high on this young physical lineman. He is projected to compete for the starting role at Center with Andrew Boselli as they both attempt to unseat incumbent starter Alec Eberle.

Josh Brown made one of the bigger impacts of the freshman linebackers last season. He appeared in 10 games as true freshman, mostly on special teams. Brown should provide valuable time in a backup role at linebacker this season.
