#3 – Ronald Darby
Cornerback – 5’11″ 195 lbs – Junior
Ronald Darby entered his freshman season in 2012 and made an immediate impact playing in 14 games at cornerback. He tied for the team lead with 8 pass breakups and made 22 tackles while being named the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year. In 2013, despite being limited a bit by a sports hernia injury that would require surgery in the offseason, Darby shut down his side of the field. Teams went away from him quite often as evidenced by him only recording 14 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 4 pass breakups on the season. Darby is projected to be one of the top corners taken in the 2015 NFL draft and will be expected to man his island better than most in the country again this year.
#3 – Jesus Wilson
Wide Receiver – 5’9″ 177 lbs – Sophomore
Jesus Wilson enters his 2nd year on the Florida State campus poised to make a bigger contribution than in 2013. In limited action last year he showed off his quickness and hurts, particularly in returning eight punts for 89 yards. Wilson will open the 2014 season as the backup to Rashad Greene at the X receiver. Coach Jimbo Fisher has been quiet regarding the playing status of Wilson after his arrest for stealing a scooter this summer. The receiver remains suspended, but as he was listed on the depth chart for the opening game of the season, his suspension may be short. He has been getting high praise for his development as a receiver in the spring which carried over to fall practice.
