#15 – Mario Edwards Jr.
Defensive End – 6’3″ 294 lbs – Junior
Mario Edwards Jr. enters his Junior year as one of the top defensive ends in the nation. He does it in a way, however, that doesn’t always garner the attention of other stat driven ends. Edwards isn’t the style end that is going to fly around the edge and garner double digit sacks every year. He’s a well rounded end that has the size to stifle the run, the power to set the edge, and the athleticism to get to the quarterback and stretch the play to the outside if needed. A possible 1st rounder in the 2015 NFL draft, Seminole fans will likely get one last season out of Edwards so appreciate the job he does whether or not he puts up huge numbers.
#15 – Travis Rudolph
Wide Receiver – 6’2″ 184 lbs – Freshman
Travis Rudolph is a true freshman wide receiver out of West Palm Beach, Florida. A four star prospect by 247Composite, Rudolph was 6th best wideout in the 2014 recruiting class. A polished receiver that runs excellent routes and has good hands, he should be able to come in and contribute right way. With a similar skill set to Kenny Shaw, but with a bit more size and speed, Nole fans should be excited to see what Rudolph can do during his time in Tallahassee. Unfortunately, Rudolph had offseason foot surgery and is just now being eased back into practice this fall. Jimbo Fisher is confident that Rudolph will be ready to go at full strength by the time the season opener roles around, though.
