#27 – Marquez White
Defensive Back – 6’0″ 172 lbs – Sophomore
Marquez White out of of Dothan, Alabama enters his sophomore season with the Noles as the backup to P.J. Williams at one of the cornerback spots. White is a combination of a lot of good attributes, with none necessarily being great. He has good speed, good size, good ball skills, and good quickness. Put all those together, however, and he has the ability to be an excellent cornerback. White saw action in 2013 as a true freshman in 13 of 14 games and recorded 12 tackles and an interception playing mainly in reserve duty in the defensive backfield along with special teams duty. A two sport star in high school, he also joined the Florida State basketball team in the winter and played in 6 games after the football season ended in January.
