#45 – Delvin Purifoy

Linebacker – 6’2″ 230 lbs – Freshman

How good was the 2014 linebacker class that FSU just signed?  Delvin Purifoy, a 4* player ranked as the 8th best inside linebacker in the nation by 247 Composite, is almost an afterthought.  That’s insane as Purifoy would have been the top linebacker on about 98% percent of the recruiting classes out there.  Purifoy committed very early in the process in January of 2013 a full 13 months before signing day.  He stayed true to his word despite the best efforts of Auburn and other SEC schools. The Pensacola, Florida native helps give Florida State three Top 10 linebackers and a base of great young talent at the position.
