#62 – Austin Barron
Center – 6’3″ 292 lbs – Senior
After three seasons a backup center to Bryan Stork, Austin Barron finally gets his shot as the starting center for the Florida State offensive line. Barron came to Florida State out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale and was mentally ready to help contribute right away but was undersized. He was quickly thrust into the fire, however, during the 2011 season that saw the Noles OL decimated by injuries. That season he made 3 starts out of 9 games played. In each of 2012 and 2013 he made one start while appearing in 21 games. As the only new starter heading into 2014, Barron will have a lot of experience around him but will be tasked with making line calls and helping keep the unit cohesive.
