#84 – Isaiah Jones
Wide Receiver – 6’4″ 193 lbs – Sophomore
Isaiah Jones is a tall wide out that was highly rated out of high school. Last season Jones didn’t see a whole lot of action making just 2 catches for 31 yards in 5 games. He missed the second half of the season with a foot injury, but had already participated in too many games to redshirt. This season, with the loss of Kelvin Benjamin and Kenny Shaw, several of the younger wide receivers will need to make a bigger impact. Jones is one of those candidates and had an okay spring. He did, however, have a nice spring game to close out the spring showing some toughness after the catch. With a couple of supposed impact freshman coming in right away in Ermon Lane and Travis Ruldolph, Jones will need to have a good summer and fall to prevent being jumped on the depth chart.
