#88 – Mavin Saunders
Tight End – 6’6″ 252 lbs – Freshman
Mavin Saunders is an incoming freshman originally from Bimini, Bahamas. Saunders was a 4* rated prospect by 247 Composite and the #7 tight end out of high school in the 2014 class. Undoubtedly possessing the size that can provide size on the edge in the run game, Saunders actually excels in the pass game combining for 75 catches over the last two seasons in high school – his first two playing football in the United States. This year with Nick O’Leary retaining his role and the return of Kevin Haplea and Jeremy Kerr, Saunders most likely won’t play much of a role and is a candidate for redshirting. The future looks bright at tight end with Saunders and fellow freshman Ryan Izzo, though.
