#92 – Justin Shanks
Defensive Tackle – 6’2″ 322 lbs – RS Sophomore
Justin Shanks was a highly rated 4* defensive tackle out of high school that hasn’t quite made an impact yet in Tallahassee. He came in as huge run stopper that had grown to nearly 340 lbs, but struggled while he battled sleep apnea. In better shape last season, he played in 7 games but made little impact with just 3 tackles and not playing significant minutes. It’s hard to expect him to make a huge jump this season, but for FSU to have the quality depth they need on the interior of the defensive line Shanks needs to become the load in the middle of the line that he was projected to be out of high school.
