#98 – Rick Leonard
Defensive End – 6’7″ 270 lbs – Freshman
Rick Leonard is a massive defensive end from Middletown, MD. Not to put too much unearned praise on him just yet, but he reminds me of Bjoern Werner – a bit of an underrated guy that has a good understanding of the game and an excellent motor. He probably has a bit more physical potential than Werner did with his size and frame. Leonard was a 3* prospect by the 247 Composite and rated as the 16th best strong side defensive end in the nation. He recently tweeted that he’s up to 270 pounds, and based on the tweet, I would guess that was “good” weight that he put on.
