James Jarrett
James Jarrett was a 6’1″ 206 lbs fullback out of Elizabethton, TN. Jarrett really came on during his junior season when he was tied for second on the team in carries, third in yardage, and tied for lead in rushing touchdowns. He followed that up with a solid senior campaign increasing his yards per carry and making an impact in the passing game with 26 catches for 279 yards.

Mark Lyles
Mark Lyles was a 6’4″ 232 lbs fullback out of Buffalo, NY. Lyles had the career path any coach would wish for as he steadily improved and increased his production each year in Tallahassee. As a significant contributor as a freshman all the way through leading the team in rushing as senior, Lyles did whatever was asked of him. In his senior season he tallied the second ever 1,000 yard season in Florida State history and capped off his career with a performance for the ages against Florida in 1979 with 20 carries for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. In addition to his production carrying the ball, he was also a solid receiver out of the backfield with 91 catches for 731 yards.

Paul Magalski
Paul Magalski was a 5’11” 210 lbs fullback out of Garfield Heights, OH. Magalski led the Seminoles in rushing in 1971 highlighted by two fine performances to close out the season. The first was 118 yard 1 touchdown game against Tulsa that was followed up by a 104 yard effort against Pittsburgh. Interestingly his career got off to a similar start with back to back 100 yard games in his first action as a sophomore in 1969 against South Carolina and Virginia Tech – his only four 100 yard games of his career.
