Jimmy Jordan
Jimmy Jordan was a 6’1″ 185 lbs quarterback out of Tallahassee, FL. Jordan, along with his friend and fellow quarterback Wally Woodham, made for one of the most interesting and bizarre quarterback by committee stories in college football history. From 1977-79, Jordan and Woodham virtually split time at the quarterback position based on who had the hot hand at the time. While this put a damper on their overall statistics, it helped vault the Seminoles to national prominence with win after win. In three years, the Noles went 29-6 with three straight victories over Florida. Individually, Jordan was named a Sporting News Honorable Mention All-American in 1979 and elected into the FSU Hall of Fame in 1985.
