#21 – Chris Casher
Chris Casher is a 6’4″ 260 lbs defensive end out of Mobile, AL. Casher is a big piece to the defensive puzzle for Florida State this season, especially with the move of Giorgio Newberry to tight end. A very gifted defensive end, he has only played 3 competitive football games since his junior year in high school. To make sure he made the grades, he transferred his Senior year to a new high school and had to sit out his senior year. Even with that, he remained one of the top rated ends out of high school and was awarded a Under Armor All-American Spot. Last season, he redshirted after playing in the first two games of the season and has put on good weight. A big, physical end, Casher is also quick with a nice spin move, as well. He needs to develop into a more well rounded pass rusher, and will most likely be counted on to play a lot of snaps behind Mario Edwards Jr.
Patrick Robinson
Patrick Robinson was a 5’11” 194 lbs cornerback out of Miami, FL. Robinson was a 4 year letterman and 3 year starter for the Noles from 2006-09. He had a breakout sophomore year in 2007 picking off 6 passes including 5 straight games with an interception. He became the top corner for the Noles and teams would often go away from him. In 2008 he only had 26 tackles and 1 interception with 4 pass breakups. In 2009, Robinson was one of the lone bright spots on one of Florida State’s worst defenses ever. He had 52 tackles while blanketing receivers finishing in the Top 20 nationally with 11 pass breakups, though he was unable to turn any of those breakups into an interception. Robinson was selected in the 1st Round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. He has started for the Saints the last 3 seasons and has 7 career interceptions, including a 99 yard interception return for a TD last season off of Michael Vick.
